These are the dates of the International Fair of Contemporary and Modern Art which will animate Milan soon.
The 22nd edition of Miart fair gathers both dealers and enthusiasts and it is directed by Alessandro Rabottini taking place at Fieramilanocity pavilions. Contemporary and Modern Art will be fully alive thanks to this event where 175 international galleries are displaying.
Viale Lodovico Scarampo will witness many events by Miart. Established, Generations, by Douglas Fogle and Nicola Lees, Emergent, for young artists Decades focusing on the ‘80s and ‘90s, Object design oriented, all represent the historical sections in Miart. For 2017’s edition, there is also one entitled On Demand hosting site specific and context based works.
More specifically, Established is divided into 3 categories: Masters, for those works finished by 2000; Contemporary strictly contemporary like the name suggests; First Step for those who have already accessed as Emergent.
Impressing and innovating are the key words in Miart aiming at creating a central idea that goes beyond the 3 day kirmes and echoing throughout the year.
The economical admission tickets cost 15,00 euros and allow visits on Fridays or Saturdays from 12.00 pm ‘til 7.00 pm. On Sunday April 2nd , entrance is from 11.00 am. Children aged 14-17 and university students can have a discount. Visitors of Miart can access Borsa Internazionale del Turismo (BIT) freely on Sunday April 2nd. There are many awards in Miart created thanks to institutions partnership.
It is worth mentioning Carnet de Miart, Miart official magazine that since 2015 has informed and offered an exchange platform among professionals and Art lovers from all over the world.
