SPAZIO 22 (www.spazio22.com) is a contemporary art gallery in Milan- which does not seem impressive considering the area of Lombardia. However, inside we can find different kinds of exhibitions, more specifically Galleria PACK, FL GALLERY and a third one that changes periodically. This vision of sharing is the strength and the primary quid of this exhibition venue. Every project is independent but simultaneously connected with the others creating a unique, dense and harmonious network. Its name, SPAZIO 22, underscores its multifunctional and changing nature. It aims at promoting Contemporary Art and it was conceived as a gathering point for dealers, artists, curators, collectors and for those who are fond of the multifaceted world of Contemporary Art.

The number, 22, is the street number in Viale Sabotino in Milan. In my opinion, one of the great innovations in SPAZIO 22 is Window Project: a selected artist shows his painting and photographic work respecting specific criteria, they are then displayed in a window at the entrance of the courtyard. By doing so, the works will always be visible- at least during the agreed period- and obliged to face a less neutral space compared to the gallery, namely the street. This kind of project brings people closer to Art allowing a moment of visual reflection during the day for those who do not usually attend galleries.

With the beginning of 2017, we have a new series of events. This is why I have interviewed two dealers Federico Luger and Giampaolo Abbondio to tell us what they expect in future months at SPAZIO 22: “ Our next exhibitions in February are 45° 28’ 0’’ N, 9° 11’ 0’’ E by Gregory Bae presented by FL GALLERY; ICONS by Corrado Zeni for Galleria PACK and Barefoot stepping from lunar sands by Ignazio Mortellaro showed in cooperation with Francesco Pantaleone Arte Contemporanea from Palermo in the guest gallery.

Lastly, on the second floor of SPAZIO 22, there will be Works on paper, an exhibition by selected artists in a time frame ranging from Gustav Klimt until today”. SPAZIO 22: a dynamic and young space open to new experiences, exchanges facing daily life inside and outside the gallery. Its concept of sharing is not a gimmick:” Contemporary through social network” but a sort of declaration of intent about its future.
